• Marine Vertebrates - Research at Ocean Museum Germany focuses on taxonomy, phylogeny, ecology and biology mainly of marine mammals and fishes
• European Seas - Our research focuses on the European Seas, primarily the Baltic Sea – the sea that directly borders our Museum
• Collection Research - There are comprehensive collections with the scope marine mammals, fishes, seabirds and coastal birds, marine turtles, crustaceans, coelenterates as well as technical equipment for oceanography und fisheries. Documentation of the collection of the Ocean Museum Germany is based on taxonomy, biogeographical region and historical data.
